Garbage is generated every second in every corner of the whole world. One may discard it or reuse it. When it comes to reuse, there’s something you cannot avoid from wondering: what exactly can be reused, namely recycled? You may know well of paper, beverage bottles and cans (glass, plastics and metal):
- Paper: newspaper, magazines, cardboard, etc. Food contaminated paper is always rejected.
- Beverage containers: glass and metal is out of question. As for plastics, it is much more complex. Almost every plastic container has a number symbol 1-7, referring to different kinds of material, orderly PET, HDPE, PVC, LDPE, PP, PS, Miscellaneous.
Whereas, there are many other items that can be recycled but are considered unrecyclable. You just need to find a way. Such items are as below:
- Batteries: All waste batteries are classified as hazardous waste and recycling is always the best option. Batteries manufacturers know well how to recycle it. Those places are the best destination of them.
- Packaging material: mostly expanded polystyrene. The ones come from furniture, appliances, electronics, etc. This material is mostly buried or burned rather than being recycled. In fact, it can be recycled and reused to make products as picture frames.
Garbage is not useless at its best. Even food residue can be reused as fertilizer. Choose more recycling rather than discarding. A green world calls for recycling.
