Britain is establishing its own polystyrene recycling system

In May of this year, the UK Ministry of the Environment launched a £18 million Resource Action Discovery program to strengthen reprocessing infrastructure. In particular, the Polystyrenes Funding Scheme will support the recycling of polystyrene packaging such as flower pots, bathtubs and trays. Applicants can apply for a grant of between £200,000 and £1 million.

This is due to China’s refusal to import polystyrene waste from other countries, and there are fewer domestic polystyrene recyclers. More than the United Kingdom, countries that have relied heavily on polystyrene waste are facing the problem of establishing domestic polystyrene waste recycling.

The UK Department of the Environment’s funding efforts are also encouraging recyclers to purchase professional polystyrene recycling machine to recycle more domestic polystyrene waste. Recycling polystyrenes requires specialized polystyrene recycling machines, such as GREENMAX’s polystyrene densifier machines. This machine can significantly reduce the cost of polystyrene recycling, using screw technology to suppress the air content of polystyrene waste, know that the air content in polystyrene is about 98%.

The polystyrene that is squeezed out of the air turns into a recycled polystyrene ingot that can be sold as a commodity. Recycled polystyrene ingots are widely needed in manufacturing industries such as wood-like materials and frame industries.

In fact, as polystyrene pollution intensifies, the potential of the polystyrene recycling market is growing. Encouraging polystyrene recycling is beneficial to the environment and can increase revenue.
