According to news reports, St. Albert will learn how to recycle polystyrene foam to the public in January this year.
Currently in St. Albert, the roadside collection program or its recycling station does not accept polystyrene foam. If you want to get rid of polystyrene trash, you can either put it in your garbage truck or bring it to a recycling point where polystyrene can be recycled, which accepts it and many other forms of packaging.
These collection points are often set up by specialized plastic recyclers. In the eyes of recyclers, polystyrene trash is a waste of resources that is almost 100% recyclable.
The recycler will use a GREENMAX polystyrene densifier M-C200 after collecting a large amount of polystyrene trash. First, the waste is placed on the hopper mouth of the machine. The built-in cutter cuts the trash into powder. Secondly, the powdered polystyrene is transferred to the core of the machine, that is, the cold-pressed screw section, which is produced by high-pressure compression recycled polystyrene block.
This recycled polystyrene block, which is small in volume and high in quality, helps recyclers save on transportation costs and makes it easy to sell to the end market to make a profit. GREENMAX machine manufacturers are also committed to acquiring recycled polystyrene blocks, which is equivalent to a stable buyer for recyclers.
Recyclers have made polystyrene recycling a profitable project, which is why St. Albert’s municipality began to consider recycling.
